Situated at the southernmost tip of Africa, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet, is the Agulhas National Park. The Park is an important component of the Cape Floral Kingdom, which is the richest of the world’s six plant kingdoms. In addition to the rich natural features, shell middens are archaeological treasure troves that provide insight into the ancient hunter gather Khoisan people who once lived here and majestic Southern Right whales can be seen during their breeding season.
Springfield-Farm is a 15 minute drive from the famous Cape Agulhas Lighthouse, which overlooks the shipwrecks of some of the 250 vessels run aground by the notorious ‘Cape of Storms’.
